Tune Up

If your system is running more slowly than it has in the past, but not due to a malware infection, a tune up can help.

What You Get

  • Clear Temp Files

Clearing the temp and junk files not only helps to improve performance, but sometimes also deletes viruses as they typically are saved there after entering the system.

    • Clear system temporary files.
    • Clear user temporary files.
    • Clear accumulated temporary internet files.
    • Clear accumulated Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Edge cache and temp files.
  • Review Startup Processes

Some programs installed on the computer will automatically start background processes when the system is turned on. Not all of these processes are necessary in all use cases. Preventing these unnecessary processes from starting will improve Windows loading time and improve performance.

    • We will review programs that are configured to automatically start after boot, and disable unneccessary programs or delay automatic startup of programs to improve Windows loading time using tools built-in to Windows.
    • We will review programs that are configured to automatically start after boot using specialized tools that are not included in Windows, to examine more methods that can be used to configure auto-starting of programs including Registry settings. This thorough examination of programs configured to auto-start will also fnf malware that is configured to auto-start.
